All Saints Church of England Primary and Nursery School

All Saints Sporting Heroes - Staff

At All Saints Primary School, our staff lead by example, embracing active lifestyles and sharing their passion for sport beyond the classroom. From running marathons and cycling long distances to playing in local teams, our school family bring real-life experiences and enthusiasm into PE lessons and extra curricular clubs. Some staff coach youth teams, while others enjoy swimming, yoga/pilates or hiking in their free time. This wide range of interests not only inspires our pupils but also helps create a vibrant, energetic school culture that values physical activity, teamwork, and lifelong participation in sport.

Mr Foot

Mr Foot is a passionate and accomplished sportsman whose dedication extends well beyond the classroom. He plays water polo for Hastings Seagulls, the current Sussex League champions and also competes as a swimmer for the club. In 2025, he was crowned South East Regional Open Water 2K champion and has won numerous medals across variousdistances and strokes in the pool. When Mr Foot is not competing he finds the time to coach junior water polo at Drenched Water Polo School, serves as Swimming Gala Judge and time keeper and also coaches the U13's Pass & Move football team!

His next big goal is to compete at the European Masters Swimming Championships in Paris in August 2026.

Mr Saunders

Mr Saunders enjoys a variety of sporting activities outside of school.  He is a keen cyclist and commutes to school every day on his bike.  His love of the outdoors has led him on many long hikes including the Yorkshire Three Peaks, and a seven-day trek in the Himalayas.  He loves running and tries to go out on a run at least three times a week, he finds it extremely beneficial not only to his physical health but his mental health too.  He has completed the last two Hasting’s half marathons and is hoping to make it three next year.  His next sporting goal is to complete a full marathon.

Miss Hobbs

Miss Hobbs loves to move! Whether that's walking, dancing or using weights, she is always on the go, not just inside but out of school as well. Miss Hobbs goes to the gym 2-3 times a week and does not use a car, opting to walk everywhere or use public transport to reduce carbon emissions. Miss Hobbs loves nothing more than a walk along the sea front on a bright sunny day or sweaty gym session after a long day at work.

Mr Taylor

Mr Taylor is a dedicated headteacher with a passion for outdoor adventure. An avid runner, cyclist, and walker, he recently trekked coast-to-coast across Scotland in just six days. He has also cycled from London to Bruges in a day and London to Paris, and regularly takes part in half marathons. His love for physical challenges mirrors his commitment to leading by example in both education and life.

Mr Berriman

Mr Berriman took part in competitive football all the way through his childhood and into his adulthood at university. He played at centre back. Since university, he hung up his boots and now participates in sport for fun on the weekends. He enjoys playing tennis and badminton for leisure with family in his spare time.

Mrs Sinfield

Mrs Sinfield is a keen runner and has completed many race events over the years, including running the Hastings Half Marathon 15 times. She has also competed in 7 triathlons which is a sport that she would like to get back into in the next couple of years. Mrs Sinfield finds running regularly a great way to unwind and relax after a busy day.

Recently, Mrs Sinfield has enjoyed running the Hastings ParkRun with her son and most weekends can be found watching him play either football or cricket, she also often helps to marshall at local running events.

Mr Teague

Mr Teague is an active TA whose involvement in sport supports the culture of physical activity at All Saints Primary School.

With five years of rugby union experience for Eastbourne RFC up to Colts level, he is now preparing to return to rugby with Hastings & Bexhill RFC after a break from the sport at university. A consistent year-long commitment to the gym has played a key role in rebuilding his own physical and mental resilience, while reigniting his desire to get back into the sport. This improvement to both his physical and mental wellbeing serves as a valuable example to pupils of how sport can remain a meaningful part of life beyond school and how it can evolve to suit changing lifestyles, interests, and personal aspirations.

Mrs Willard

In 2021, Mrs Willard took on the incredible challenge to run the London Marathon in support of a charity close to her heart. It was a tough but rewarding journey that pushed her limits and taught her the power of perseverance.

Since then, her passion for fitness has evolved— she now focuses on lifting weights to build muscle, get stronger, and stay fit and healthy. She loves how lifting empowers both body and mind, and it’s become a key part of her lifestyle and long-term well-being.

Mrs Willard’s next goal is to run the Hastings half marathon as part of the All Saints team and pull a 100kg deadlift.

Mr Shelton

Mr Shelton has always been a keen sports person playing and representing a variety of teams in a range of sports in his younger years. He has  played  competitive football from the age of 8 right through to veterans level and even had a go at walking football. Not many people know this but he holds a Football Association L2 coaching badge and has managed and coached youth football for over 30 years. When he moved to Bexhill he leant how to windsurf, kayak and paddle board. During the week he keeps fit by going to the gym  and  walking his  dog. At weekends  he  plays guitar, dances and jumps around a lot  in a band  who play gigs and festivals all  over the south east.
