The Rainbow Rooms SEND Facility

The Rainbow Rooms is a 12 place SEND Facility for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated Communication and Language needs.  Each child is different and we meet their needs with a personal and individual approach.  Pupils in the Rainbow Rooms are able to access specialist teaching support to address their individual needs as well as have opportunities to study and interact socially with their peers in the mainstream classes.

We have invested in our environment and have a sensory room, low-stimulus room and open plan classroom.  The pupils and staff have access to all the school facilities including regular weekly sessions in our on site Forest School.  

Admissions to the Rainbow Rooms are managed through ISEND at East Sussex County Council.  If your child has or is about to be awarded an Educational Health and care Plan (EHCP), then you can specify our school as your preferred placement.  We will then see whether we can meet your child's needs in our provision.  Children awarded a place in the Rainbow Rooms may be eligible for free transport.  You should follow this link to see how this is managed by East Sussex County Council.
